Hi, I am looking to make some cotton fields for an AWI southern campaign, has anyone ever had any joy making their own plants (28mm scale), I will need quite a few !

Many thanks.

Hi

I would make a stout bases. For the Plant uses Furnaces filter material/Rubberized horse hair/ or grape stems as the plant. Just paint white on the end to be the cotton pod.

From what I saw there was little foliage on the plant when ready for picking, so something like Wackmole9 suggested might work. You might look at a product called Super Trees from Scenic Express. To take his suggestion a step further, once you have the basic "plant" maybe dots of glue then sprinkle either a "snow" product like Woodland Scenics or a white floral ground foam also from S Xpress. Scenic Express can provide you almost everything in the way of vegetation. Keep us posted
