Yes, I picked up a few more toy cars at Big Lots tonight…

Matchbox – Ground Breaker – link – It's a bulldozer. In kind of a cream orange color, with black plastic tracks and a silver plastic dozer blade. Add some 'armor plate' to the open cab, and it works for combat or post-apocalypse. Discard the top, and you've got some interesting tracks for a custom vehicle. Cab is about 11mm tall. Blade can be raised or lowered.

Matchbox – Mound Mover – link – Metallic-green four-wheeled tractor with large green-plastic dozer blade (larger than Ground Breaker). Cab is about 5mm tall, so this vehicle is a different scale than Ground Breaker. Blade can be parly elevated.

Matchbox – Desert Thunder V16 – link – I previously picked up the maroon explorers version. This one is the dark yellow truck with 'MBX Alien Study Lab' logo, flying saucer, and bubble-topped three-eyed alien on the side.

Matchbox – Ground Grabber – link – Four-wheeled vehicle with rotating cab and elevating, non-articulated scooper arm and rear dozer blade. The version I have is black bottom, green top, black cap, green arm. Cab has no interior and no bottom. Cab is about 14mm tall. Remove the cab, add a turret, and you've got an armored car with dozen blade.

Matchbox – Trail Tipper – link – Tracked dump truck. Blue vehicle, black dumper, black treads. Remove the dumper, and you've got the basis for all kinds of heavy tracked carriers. Or just use the treads as the basis for any tracked vehicle. Cab door is 9mm tall.

Matchbox – Dodge Charger Pursuit – link – Never can have enough police cars! This vehicle is black with white doors, marked 'Metro Police, St Ursula County'. Door is 14mm tall.

Matchbox – Deep Diver – link – Research-type submersible with grabber arms (non-articulated), five portholes (blue translucent plastic), blue periscope and mast, blue non-rotating propeller. Green top, black metallic bottom. Logo says 'Naptune's Navigator' with Neptune as merman with trident. Forward porthole is about 15mm tall. Might be a little trick to disassembly, as only rivet is recessed inside plastic conning tower. Possibly convertible to space vehicle by changing propellers to thrusters.

Hot Wheels – Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile – link – With a new paint job and some cosmetic changes, this rather alien-looking batmobile could be fielded as a combat car.

It is possible. Some things you can say that about and mean it. So it could be true. Could be.

Too bad you didn't find any Sea Hunter Helicopters – Big, three-engined Fenestron-tailed craft that looks like a combination of a Super Frelon and an NH 90- I'd take them off your hands to assuage your habit :)

Of course, this would only feed my 6mm habit . . . :P

6mm? Do Matchbox fit in with 6mm? Could use a number of those if they would work.

No you will not stop tomorrow and any other day.

You will see something and you will buy it.

Hmmm, didn't find any of those.

Did grab a nice, black, Maisto, Mercedes 4-door sedan though. Approx. 16mm – 17mm door height.

Also, found a Matchbox Armored Car. Perhaps a little small, with a 16mm side door height, but the local guys are driving different sized A.C.s, and some are quite small, so I'll call it good.

Need at least one of those limos. If I can't find any, may have to press the Mercedes into service as a stand-in for that.

The deep diver looks very suitable for sci-fi conversion.

Or, for use as is, with those re-released Thunderball minis and rules.
