"One of the first articles I wrote for this blog was a piece in my "Lists We Play" series where I talked about some of my favorite Waffen-SS lists. One of the lists I did mention in that piece was KG Peiper from Battlefront's Devil's Charge book, which at the time was relatively new. The new Ardennes Offensive (AO) book augments the Waffen-SS force that took part in the offensive by adding two new lists which I will detail in this article. Much like my last article on the Waffen-SS I want to reiterate my distaste of the actual SS, however their inclusion in the game does cause us to remember their history and helps us ensure that we never see another organization like that again…" More here link Amicalement Armand |

I really hate it when a gamer models an army and feels has has to apologize for it because it might offend some social justice warrior. |

How can they complain….you get to kill them. Love hitting SS with Calliopes on open sights. Smile when you say that to them.:) |

It seems Social Justice Warriors are here to stay. |

Thanks ThePeninsularWarin15mm I agree. They also only seem to apologize for the SS but never for Communists or other unsavory types. Romans committed genocide and infanticide but we never apologize for them, Japanese in WWII committed war crimes but we never apologize for them either. It's just army men and history. No apologies needed. Mike Bunkermeister Creek Bunker Talk blog |

"unfortunately, the poor infrastructure near Stavelot would result in one PZIV/70 breaking through the bridge and stranding the rest of the armor at a critical point in the battle"
Those damn yankees… …let's rephrase this: Kampfgruppe Hansen, from the infamous 1st Waffen SS division liebstandarde (that would leave a trail of civilian murders and POW execution during the Ardennes offensive), lost a PZIV/70 by collapsing a small wooden bridge near Stavelot in its attempt to re-inforce Kampfgruppe Peiper . Fortunately, the German offensive was eventually contained and pushed back. Sorry but I identify with the side that won and that is not apologetic about it. |
