Loughton Strike Force had 2 good looking games at Colours on Saturday. There was another run of our Winter War participation game, previously shown at Salute, and a demonstration game of Dave Brown's new ACW rule set "Pickett's Charge".
We were grateful to everyone that stopped by to have a look or participate in both games. We had a great time – hope you did too. More pictures : link |

I want to hear more about these new ACW rules. Saw the announcement over at the TFL blog. EDIT: I must say though, that the Winter War game is beautiful! Just looking at the pictures made my feet hurt from cold. |

Thanks Brian – Dave did a walkthrough of Pickett's Charge on the GdB forum … link The underlying goal is make the focus the command and control system – and to streamline the game turn allowing larger games to be played. You can use your Johnny Reb / Fire and Fury based armies without any modification – you will just need to add some individually based staff officers who are a key element of the command and control mechanism. |

Have the recommended base sizes remained the same as they are in "Guns at Gettysburg"? |
