I know for sure that the Good Guys lost. heh! I think Stuart Reid has given us the most accurate recreations of the Jacobite army and the Culloden battle in his recent books. |

It made sure that the useless Stuart dynasty,which should have been finished off in the 2nd ECW, were never to take the British crown. |

I think that the BBC dramatised documentary sums it all up pretty well. You can catch it on you tube youtu.be/TW8bhB5oxQI I'm not going to come down on one side or the other because it was a choice between a French tart or a sausage sucking German. But, I voted to stay in, so I guess at the time I'd be happy with either. |

I'm thinking that someone from University of Glasgow might have a different opinion on this than someone who went to Oxbridge. I did tour the battlefield when I was in Scotland and can recommend the visit. |

Yet another historian trying to use the past for present day political currency. The battle wasn't really between two countries ,it was between two competing dynasties. |
