Great looking figures. Have a look at my website as I have created a set of skirmish rules for the War of 1812 called Red Coats and War Hawks. It is easily adaptable for larger scale games…instead of using individual figures, you can take them up into company size and battalion size units. Check out my website: battlefieldgamedesigns.com The game is not just the rules but also includes 400 cards, artillery templates, a summary game chart and most importantly 15 game scenarios to get you started. As for your figures, Forrest Harris from Knuckleduster is a fantastic guy to deal with and is one of the sponsored manufacturers in the rule set. Regards, Hitman |

A very good start to your campaign and it is nice to see more gamers delve into the War of 1812. I posted some comments on your blog. |

If I could get my friends to play this period. I would buy the rules set and figures. Since I live in Michigan most of the battlefield are in a day's drive. Excellent brush work of the figures B6GOBOS |

Thank you all for the kind comments. I am very excited about this project and the time period. I have put a lot of reading into the period before staring to understand the time and events. It is also a fun area to try and gain uniform knowledge due to the contradictions. I have picked the theater I did as it is the most balanced in armies and commanders. Hitman will be checking out the rules and your site. Thank you. Ironduke596 already a fan of your blog (based my army lists on your excel sheets for Lundy's Lane) lots of my reading based on your answers here. Great to talk with a knowledgeable person! Sgt. Dutch, I have found the armies are small enough, and figures reasonable priced to be able to afford both armies. Once your friends try the period they will join In |
