Which do you prefer? And second, does this literary genre even lend itself to miniatures gaming? RAFM and other make a lot of great miniatures, protaganists, Deep Ones, and all the rest, but what's the game exactly? RPGs I get completely, but horror games with miniatures are hard to pull off as it is, where fear never comes into it in the slightest. Where's the miniature game in cosmic fultilitarianism? |

Flashman14 I plan to use the Arkham Horror Board creating 12"x12" scenic tiles in such away to create diversity in each game. The mechanics are interesting and maybe tweaked for miniature play. Fear, well I'm not sure any game can bring fear, fear of a Tiger tank or the Great Cthuthlu himself. No one in a game would choose to break morale. Fear arises in the play and reaction of the players and the mood the GM sets. Ed, I'm excited for this new Two Hour Horror game. Sign me up! Can't wait to read the author's thoughts. Duane |

Most of the Mythos miniatures were originally intended for RPG use. Layely, a few rules such as Achtung Cthulhu have tried to bring Mythos horror to tabletop tactical gaming. For a player in such a game, I think a lot of the personal horror is lost, and there would necessarily need to be some game mechanics to reflect the horror experienced by our tiny avatars. As an aside, I once ran a Mythos horror-themed Traveller game with no warning, it was just another campaign game night when I sprang it on them. I think I pulled it off fairly well, because we had to cancel the next game on account of no one sleeping for a week. |

You can pick out parts, like investigators facing off against cultists, deep one broods and the likes. |

We used strange aeons. While fighting against the "big bads" like dagon or cthulhu is kind of pointless, fighting against their minions to prevent the gods for showing up is certainly fun. |

Duane – I wouldn't think of writing anything like this and deferred to a real Cthulhu follower and Jay did a great job. Jay has developed mechanics to reflect what you're talking about. |

RAFM has USX rules: "The USX starter box pits a team of SWAT officers against those menaces from the depths the Deep ones. The set includes 17 figures for use with USX Modern Day Heroes and a 20 page basic rules booklet." link The company I work for used to import and stock FARM and since they needed help I took photos of some of my CoC figures and terrain which ended up in the cover of one of the boxes of this product line:

Modiphius is releasing an Achtung Cthulhu Miniatures Game soon. From Devil Pig Games there's also Shadows Over Normandie, several expansions' worth to the 'normal WW2' game Heroes of Normandie. |

Ganesha Games' Fear and Faith is another option, based on the Song of Blades and Heroes game system. |
