I read that the British Airborne had 17 prd ATG's that came in via Hamlicar Gliders. What was used to tow the gun? A jeep or Universal Carrier?

I second the matchbox model 15cwt, it is the correct version. Also FOW do one
Incidentally the 20mm version from SHQ is the alternative prototype model.

I've got it in my head that for Varsity the tow was the US 3/4-ton Dodge, but can't recall where I've seen it.

Starfury you are correct the British started using the Dodge from Varsity onwards.

Green Beanie – the cut-down Morris C8 was used to tow the 17pdr for Market Garden.

Starfury Rider – I believe you are correct. The cut-down Morris C8 proved unreliable during Market Garden & had been replaced by the 3/4-ton Dodge for the Rhein crossings.

I am having trouble finding the source stating the Dodge was used but when I do I will post on here.
