Tedious spamming If every convention did daily updates on the month running up to the show, this board would be choked. |

The answer is simple normsmith--don't open the thread, and you won't be affected by imaginative repurposings of recruiting posters and enticements to attend an apparently fun-filled gathering that's within driving distance of quite a few HMGS members and TMP Members. And, seeing how it's the H.A.W.K.S., there is well-deserved expectation for the games to be more than just rolling the dice and shoving troop stands about. And further, with regard to the continued updating of the thread, it is a pleasant spur to my age-calcified brain to see if I can indeed attend. |

There are plenty of other meaningless posts on TMP to complain about besides a club that is providing an outlet to wargamers. Isn't that why we are here? |

This group of guys put on a great show…I'd rather read this than about most the stuff on here. At least it's relevant… |

The point is missed, I go to 4 – 5 shows a year and they are all very good and run by really good teams and give moments of excellence. But no other show that I am aware of creates new posts on a daily basis leading up to the show. They keep a single thread going and it gets bumped up in accordance to the level of actual real interest by the readership. Posting in this way is a matter of Internet courtesy – something that over time appears to be becoming increasingly irrelevant. |
