I am looking for 28 mm figures which I can use to Man some Landing craft. I also need some to use for a crew on a 1/48 scale Vietnam War era Swift Boat. Suggestions welcome.

I used some Pulp Figure sailors in Dungarees and Chambray shirts for support operations and converted some West Wind Special Forces soldiers into MRF sailors to man the Tango boats and PBRs.

I used minis with Berets for the MFR forces, cutting off gear, and trying to find minis with either field jackets or just flak vests:

You may also spot some older Pulp Figures and Cannon Fodder Miniatures – China Station Sailors working the docks in dungarees, chambray shirts, and Dixie Cups covers. Old Pappy still sports his 1930s Tin-Hat and Tommy gun. He has seen war in China, the Pacific, and the Nam – what was good enough then is good enough now.

Well done. I see that Bob Murch has stopped mking the US sailors and Cannon Fodder Miniatues was bought by a British Company and some of their figures dropped.

I spoke with Bob at Historicon and I understood them to be only temporarily OOP. I also begged for more open hand sailors for deck crew etc. A shame about the Cannon Fodder minis – they have lots if character.
