Have you played a 6mm skirmish game? (Defined here as "every figure is based individually and the total number of figures is around 30 or less).

A: I play 6mm skirmish largely or exclusively.

B: I play 6mm skirmish occasionally.

C: I play 6mm skirmish once in a great while.

D: I've tried it as an experiment and would like to repeat it.

E: I've tried it as an experiment and don't want to do it again.

F: I have not, but I would like to at some point.

G: I have not and do not intend to.

H: I would like to make a joke about 6mm being indistinguishable from card board counters that I am confident people have definitely never heard before.

I: I have no opinion on the topic but I want to have a poll option specifically for me.

J: I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING OH MY GOD WHY DO THE LITTLE PEOPLE HAVE LITTLE FACES GET ME OUT OF HERE

There, think that should cover the bases :-)

"6mm skirmish. Have you?"

Yes.

G- for me skirmish gaming is all about large, detailed models, large detailed terrain etc. I do 6mm modern, but each group of infantry is a squad or fireteam, though each vehicle is 1:1.

I go quite the opposite direction. I am looking at doing 1/72 or 1/48 WWII air in an outdoor area, as well as 1/35 skirmish on a 12 x 18 table.

G – "6mm skirmish" seems an oxymoron.

The smaller the scale of figs, the larger the scale of battle.

I can't even do 15mm any more, I am stuck with 28mm (or larger) due to age-related vision problems. Not that I mind, not everyone gets to deal with age-related problems.

So here goes. My wife hit one of my 6mm bases with a rolled up newspaper thinking she had killed a bug. Instead she destroyed my Guard Grenadiers. – I'll be here all week.

I would just assume play a good board wargame than do 6mm. I can't even paint 15mm anymore let alone something smaller. I get really tired of 6mm players showing me one of their figures and saying "look I just painted all the buttons. See, they are real figures." Well you know what they say about small figures?

G, but never say never. i have enough individually based 6mm to give it a go.

Cosmic Reset06 Sep 2016 3:27 p.m. PST

Yes, I did some WWII stuff, before I got into 15mm. Probably won't go back to it as I can build more detail in 15mm, and the scale works well for what I want to do.

F- it would be amusing to do just as a jest. I'd need magnificstion and strong light to play, though.

I actually have a packet of Irregular singly based knights, to execute this when the mood someday strikes.

Yes I have, from time to time.

Back in the day, I also used to have a dire 6mm Napoleonic ruleset which required individually based 6mm figures. Yikes! They soon got dumped for WRG 16xxx – 18xxx, which at least had elements.

Some modern 6mm figures are so huge they are almost 10mm. Real wargamers only use H&R.

K. I have played a lot if it. Unsure if I will again.

6mm Prussia was a skirmish campaign.
