Guys, no right answer here, but I'm curious all the same. Grant my premise that at some point, you will have used up the tactical repertoire of any particular combination of armies, and the next battle, give or take a good run on the dice, is going to feel very like some battle you're already fought. (Think hoplite--or Zulu--warfare as examples of limited repertoire.) How many games do you have to see in a period before it's a consideration in building the armies?

And can you "rejuvenate" them with new rules, or are you blocked by the limits imposed by historicity?
