Does anyone have the book Japanese War Art and Uniforms, 1853-1930 by Rene Chartrand? I have spent a long time on line reading every review of the book I can find, but I still have questions. I am mainly interested in how much information (especially visual depictions) concerning Japanese uniforms of the period it contains. The book is fairly pricey, but it still may be worth the cost. Could anyone who has this book please tell me what you think about it.

While I do not have that book, I strongly recommend this book instead

its choke-full of uniform illustrations.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will certainly check it out. It looks like it is exactly what I am looking for.

Thanks,

Kevin
