Can anyone point me to some pictures of Cold Era Tank antenna for the Soviets? Specifically looking for a picture of a mast antenna for a R-130 radio. "R-130 Vehicular Radio: The R-130 is primarily installed in Russian command vehicles. It has a short range of 13km with a 4-meter whip antenna, 19 km with a 10-meter whip, or 88 km with a mast antenna." source: link |

Pretty sure that's the mast antenna. A 10m whip would probably be nothing more than a piece of monofilament fishing line (or maybe plastic broom bristle), and that's in 15mm. I'd honestly use ~0.5mm diameter music wire in 6mm, put a drop of superglue over the end of the antenna. Edit: need to read the whole damn original post. |
