We played out a game based on one of von Schlieffen's scenarios. It involved a Danish infantry corps invading northern German in the early weeks of the Great War. Von Schlieffen's concern was that Denmark might take advantage of the Germans being committed to two major battlefronts. The write-up and photos are here:

beautiful table and I love the concept a lot. The Germans based all their "real" war games on Schlieffen's work at the tiem so its fitting to use it for yours. What an interesting idea, Danish involvement really would have been a thorn in Germany's side.

Thank you. In his write-up of the scenario, von Schlieffen mentioned that this 'invasion' would occur in cooperation with an amphibious landing northern Germany by another 'major power'. It was a veiled reference to Great Britain. Food for another scenario though.
