I wanted to have the flexibility of using my single based 20mm as multibased stands.

Any recommendations on what kind of magnetic base?

And where I could buy them.

I'm in Alberta Canada

Thanks in Advance

This is where I get all of my magnetic bases and I have never been disappointed in them: shogunminiatures.com

I go the opposite path. Metal based minis (washers), and magnetic movement trays.

Thanks Kevin for your link. I use magnetic movement trays and base my miniatures individually, as Nick does.

There is a standard self-adhesive magnetic sheet I think used in advertising. 2mm thick if I remember. There are suppliers selling pre-made magnetic bases if you prefer.

I'm not sure if it's economical for you to order from the UK, but I use rolls of adhesive-backed magnetic tape on the bottom of my bases:

And then use these great pre-painted metal bases as sabots:

Litko has many magnetic based options. Take the time to explore the many types of figure bases and unit bases to find the ones that suit your project.

I have been buying their bases for many years…quality product and good service plus shipping to Canada at reasonable rates.

Sorry Nick, I didn't explain that very well but that's exactly what I intend to do.

Thanks to everyone for your recommendations and advice. I'm off to check the Links

Cheap but a little tricky: buy magnetic tape at a craft/hobby store, adhere it to the base bottoms and trim to fit.
More expensive but easy: order magnetic base bottoms from Litko and apply.

VVV:

You sell your magnetic bases only to the UK and EU. correct?

I'm here in the USA and would like to buy some.

I drill a small hole (3mm diameter) in my bases that will hold a small rare earth magnet and then they stick very well to my movement trays and storage cases. The figure and base flocking cover the magnet so you do not see it unless you flip it over.
