I recently came across a set of rules that included stats based on Mirkwood Goths from William Morris' House of the Wolfings novel. But now I can't remember what rules they were. Does anyone know?

And as a bonus question, anyone know why the novel is considered one of the 1st fantasy novels? It has very minimal supernatural elements, and seems to be just a fictitious account of historical early dark ages tribes.
