I'm an Old Fart, and perhaps I am not up to date on what you mean by the hoops I have to jump through to post nudies on the Nude board. I went through the FAQ, and found nothing. Please post a step by step procedure for this. And put it in the FAQ specifically as a guide. It would also be nice to post it rather prominently on the Nude Pics Board. Heck, even the old standby of "Are you SURE you want to post this?" would not be inappropriate. Not that I intend to use it myself, it's just strange to see the most prolific of posters of the nudie pictures in the DH for doing what he does best. Please clarify the rules. |

Even Armand admitted that there was no guideline on how to post these and so far the editors were not certain either. |
Texas Jack | 28 Aug 2016 1:11 p.m. PST |
Dear Editor (may he live forever) has given us all the tools we need to customize TMP exactly as we would have it. We can stifle, ignore, choose up to four hundred posts on our homepage, and turn off and on boards. So why is this even an issue? To require tagging of adult content for the nude and nsfw board is totally, completely, absurd. It only adds busy work for the editors and is merely a means to entrap unwary posters to the board. If there were a puking emoticon available I would insert it here. |
Mako11 | 28 Aug 2016 1:49 p.m. PST |
Yep, and Armand PM'd me, said he didn't know what "tag" meant, since English isn't his first language, and I must say, even though it is for me, I don't know what is meant by that either. I know about little paper or cardboard tags you attach to objects, but not electronically, but then again, I am a borderline luddite and dinosaur, so………. Armand says he requested an example of how to properly "tag" his images with you, and/or the other editors, but failed to receive a response, so jailing him is wrong, since it does appear he was making a good faith effort to comply. I also find it silly and overly redundant to have to mention on every post that there might actually be images of naked miniatures to see seen on the "Nude and Semi-Nude – NSFW" board. The entire board is clearly labeled, so people that don't want to see those images need to block the board, or not click on the postings. Free Armand. |
Puster | 28 Aug 2016 2:01 p.m. PST |
In this case I do not know what ANYBODY would expect by a miniature labelled "concubine" on the NSFW board. Whoever was sprung with *unexpected* nudity certainly deserved it, and should henceforth avoid the internet completely. Give us back Armand! |

I went through the FAQ, and found nothing. TMP link – look for [OBJECTIONABLE PICTURE] Even Armand admitted that there was no guideline on how to post these and so far the editors were not certain either. Armand has been provided with complete instructions. Please post a step by step procedure for this. To put a caption on a photo: The format is (img=URL)CAPTION(/img), so for instance: (img=http://theminiaturespage.com/tmpshead.jpg)The TMP logo(/img) but use square brackets [] instead of parentheses (). To mark a photo as adult, include *adult* in the caption: (img=http://somewhere.com/betty.jpg)Betty *adult*(/img) |
jowady | 28 Aug 2016 4:41 p.m. PST |
Okay, now even I'm confused, so you use brackets instead of parentheses but where? In the whole thing? Why can't we just make the NSFW board an "area of interest" like "Fantasy" or American Civil War" that you either check or uncheck on your membership? |
nazrat | 28 Aug 2016 5:09 p.m. PST |
Because that would not create the click bait that this has. Sad. |
Jeff Ewing | 28 Aug 2016 5:10 p.m. PST |
Why can't we just make the NSFW board an "area of interest" like "Fantasy" or American Civil War" that you either check or uncheck on your membership? Because that's not how Internet search works. Google can see the posts on TMP, but not the area of interest hierarchies. |
Editor in Chief Bill | 28 Aug 2016 6:23 p.m. PST |
Okay, now even I'm confused, so you use brackets instead of parentheses but where? In the whole thing? Yes. See the FAQ at the link above for the best explanation; I can't use the proper code on the forum, because that would be the code for a picture… |
John the OFM | 28 Aug 2016 6:24 p.m. PST |
Well, do a fake or generic picture. |
Winston Smith | 28 Aug 2016 6:45 p.m. PST |
The problem is that up until now, all one had to do was double click on the url and copy and paste. Now you require us to be web literate. Well, shoot. As long as I stick to posting pictures of Washington Crossing the Delaware, I should be safe. |

Warning Warning Warning ADULT Photo blocked by adult filter: "" |
jowady | 28 Aug 2016 6:54 p.m. PST |
Okay, I replaced parentheses with brackets but I don't think that anything was tagged, the Warnings and Adult above the photo were what I typed as text. No caption appeared, just the photo derived I guess from the bb code generated by "Flickr". |
Shadowcat20 | 28 Aug 2016 7:17 p.m. PST |
Well as another over 50 adult who does not speak computer well I guess the only solution is not to post any pictures of anything anywhere for fear of offending some stray soul somewhere out there…thanks for clarifing my options. |
79thPA | 28 Aug 2016 7:44 p.m. PST |
Let me make sure I understand this, there has to be a "trigger warning" that you are posting a nude figure to the board that specifically allows nude figures, and is actually titled as such? |
Editor in Chief Bill | 28 Aug 2016 8:15 p.m. PST |
Photo blocked by adult filter: "Caption *adult*" |
Editor in Chief Bill | 28 Aug 2016 8:18 p.m. PST |
The problem is that up until now, all one had to do was double click on the url and copy and paste. Now you require us to be web literate. You can still do it that way, but then you need to edit your post afterwards. You will see this ( with { instead of [ ) : {img}https://c1.staticflickr.com/2/1517/25929801624_a685269689_b.jpg{/img} So just change it to:
{img=https://c1.staticflickr.com/2/1517/25929801624_a685269689_b.jpg}Caption *adult*{/img} This is not rocket science… |

Let me make sure I understand this, there has to be a "trigger warning" that you are posting a nude figure to the board that specifically allows nude figures, and is actually titled as such? I don't know what a trigger warning is. I am just requiring adult figures to be tagged as such, so that our adult filter will work correctly. |
Cosmic Reset | 28 Aug 2016 8:35 p.m. PST |
I think that I'm still confused. Or, I'm confused by my lack of confusion. Seriously. So if I do that "adult" caption thingy, do I understand that the photo will still display in the post, just with the caption "Adult" popping up when I mouse the pointer over it? Or does TMP display "Adult" in some way, and I have to click within the post to see the photo? |
jowady | 28 Aug 2016 9:37 p.m. PST |
This is not rocket science…
With all due respect for some of us it is. Now I went by this but use square brackets [] instead of parentheses (). so I used these [for example only] when I guess I should have used {for example only}so all someone does is use the "bb code" then insert; Caption*adult* before the {/img} ? |
War Panda | 28 Aug 2016 9:44 p.m. PST |

Good thing that was explained by the Editor – I originally thought that what Armand was supposed to have done to tag the post was put 'adult' in the title. I.e. – 'Adult Concubine…' |

Bill can you answer the question I raised on the other thread: why can't you automatically (via some code) tag EVERY picture on that NSFW section? I mean, it can't be "rocket science", right? John T |
BelgianRay | 29 Aug 2016 12:15 p.m. PST |
I understand what John Treadway implies, the rest is rocket science to me. |
John Treadaway | 29 Aug 2016 12:34 p.m. PST |
Oh Belgian Ray – I agree with you: adding meta data is (IMHO) too complex for average users (especially those for whom English is not their first language). So – for them – it is rocket science (or might as well be). That's why I was suggesting Bill and his team do it in some sort of automated way, therefore removing the 'bear trap'. It was just my attempt at sarcasm to try and get a response from Bill where just asking the question – plain and simple – has failed to gain a reply… John T |

Is it just me, or is there no difference in the display of the two pics? I also have no problems seeing the original image that got Tango incarcarated. There is a tag if my mouse hovers over it, but I fail to see how that could protect my soul from taking damage by seeing a nude miniature… |
20thmaine | 29 Aug 2016 5:21 p.m. PST |
Is it just me, or is there no difference in the display of the two pics? When you drift the mouse over the picture the word "adult" appears in a small text box over the second image. If the image were really of a naked man or a naked woman or a model of a naked man or a model of a naked woman then the viewer will have, most likely, noticed this before they see the small text box with the word "adult" in it. The text box doesn't seem to add much (IMHO) – but that's what people are being asked to do. It should only take a few seconds. |
Puster | 29 Aug 2016 10:51 p.m. PST |
Seriously? That "tag" is what this is about and what Tango was punished for? Kafka lives… |
Legion 4 | 30 Aug 2016 6:41 a.m. PST |
If you tag anything as "adult" then most here including me couldn't look at it !!!! |

Silent Pool | 30 Aug 2016 7:11 a.m. PST |
Dear Editor Bill, can't you simply organise and run a new website for nude figures and call it Nudes and Only Nudes on The New Nude TMP? Why put us through all this rigmarole concerning Internet witchcraft bureaucracy? |
Mardaddy | 30 Aug 2016 11:43 a.m. PST |
To address the Editors last question (which went unanswered…) Trigger Warning. A Trigger Warning is advanced notice via speaking (or in this case typing) that something soon to be said or revealed may offend or cause various other feel-bad feelings. An example from where it originated and is the NORM: (unfortunately) If I were a guest speaker at a college (that was not protested to the point of being disinvited by a cowardly administration), and I wanted to talk about, oh, let's say some battle in the US Civil War (but it does not HAVE to be the US Civil War, it could be ANYTHING.) I must "WARN" my audience I might possibly "TRIGGER" outrage, feel-bad feelings and guilt – because being hit by the 2x4 of surprise by any of those emotions is WAAAAY too much to handle without advanced warning to remain calm and be prepared for an extreme shock to come… to firm themselves up first. Bring up the feinting couch… And yes, it is PC-speak, could apply as SJW-speak as well. Trigger Warning. |
jowady | 30 Aug 2016 2:18 p.m. PST |
So if the word "nude" or "adult" only appears if you mouse over the image that you are already looking at….okay, my head hurts. I fail to see the safeguards here. You are already looking in an area labelled "Nude and Semi Nude NSFW". Now what does the "caption" do for you, confirm that you are indeed looking at what you think that you are looking it, i.e. "Yes, that is an image of a nude figure". It just seems to not be much help. Again maybe we should make the Board an "are of interest" that must be checked when one sets up their interests. |

First and foremost … I deeply thanks to my fellow members for their support and understanding … I'm proud to belong to this beautiful community … Second … I want to establish the facts that led me to be punished …. I must admit that I have not many technical qualities of computer … rather … well … almost none… and English is not my original language … not even the second … is the fourth or fifth … which usually produce me several problems that I accept for the right to participate in TMP. When Bill established the new modality in NSFW … I do not really understand anything … there were five messages from me asking for help and guidance to Bill about it … even in one of them I sent a photo of a naked miniature begging him to post it himself as an example ….to see how is this going on and understood the matter … Bill responded to four of those messages … and tried to explain me the new mode … he also decided not to post the picture. There were not any participation from other Editors… none… always the messages were to and from Bill himself… It is also true that I was warned once by Bill about a possible punishment if I did not use the TAG (?) After my last message I tried to post new threads with the legend "WARNING … etc" … but it was obviously that this was not what our Editor in Chief pretended … so, you know the end of this history… four days in jail… Now reading what the people wrote about it… I feel better because still today… I take note that many guys… as myself ….didn't understand how we have to post a nude miniature picture in the Forum NSFW… Of course personally I do not agree with the penalty to which I was subjected … because of ignorance … not for violating the rules …on purpose. I believe that the issue was poor management by TMP and four days of punishment were not necessary for it … in a single day it would have been enough to make clear the position of the authorities…. I understand and share that Bill have the privilege of the decision to change the rules, add others and provide rewards and punishments at his "home". But it is also my privilege to properly dissent and mark a limit to the rules when I think they are wrong, out of place and poorly explained. So … while the necessary reforms were not made for any new post in the forum NSFW would be understanding or easy for any neophyte as myself … I have decided from today…not to put a single new thread there … Thus I understand sentenced to death that forum because the 99% of the new threads were from me. A sad commercial result from the point of view that if you look … to each of the threads of NSFW they amount triple or quadruple visits more than the rest of the threads of any forum … I sincerely hope from my heart that this stand serves to reflect our beloved Editor in Chief in this matter. Thanks again to all of you. Amicalement |

Is it just me, or is there no difference in the display of the two pics? When you drift the mouse over the picture the word "adult" appears in a small text box over the second image. But also, if you turn on the adult filter in your settings (which is by default turned on, so you must have turned it off at some point, probably early on), you won't see the picture that Bill posted and tagged at all. You can try this by loading the page, switching the filter on, and then reloading the page. You will see the one that Bill posted with the tag not show up. |

No, indeed it is NOT rocket science. But unfortunately it IS a major hobbyist website in the year 2016 that requires html scripting from the general public to post quotes and pics on. |
