Can I use this line of figures with that line of figures?

A question that is quite common in 28mm and 15mm.

Both these scales often have very diffrent styles from various lines.

The standard answer(about 99% of the time) is The work in the same army but not in the same unit)
1/2% of the time the answer is they even work in the same unit.

But what about the last 1/2%?

In what ever scale you do. How many lines can you think off that are so uniqe, either anatomically or just in style, they you would not mix them with others even in an army.

In 28mm, I can only thing of "one/a couple"
Minden miniatures and Cranntara are very close in style, but that style is so uniqe I would not mix this figures with any other figures in the same army or even opposing army. So my SYW project will only be minden and cranntara.

Any others? I know Front rank figures are quite chunky. But I still wouldn't have a problem having Front rank and perry in the same army.

To quote the Donald, the miniatures from Blue Moon's 28mm French and Indian Range are HUGE.

Being someone who is quite chunky, I like those models in with the others.

For 15mm Ancients/Medievals, there are quite a few manufacturers that I happily mix on the same stand for pose variety.

One that I love but is far too unique to mix with others even in the same Ancients army is Tin Soldier. But I can field a lot of DBA Hoplite armies that are all Tin Soldier's ^,^
