In doing an inventory of the collection I ran across a bag of these guys in a drawer labled Seven years war. Infantry in helmets. I know Austria had this type in the Napoleonic period, but the SYW? Anyways any help in identifying these goobers is appreciated.

French Dragoon uniform. Dragoons de Schomberg Regiment that had the new helmet and green jacket that would later be adapted by other dragoon regiments. |

Old Glory 15s, meant to cover the Volontaires étrangers de Clermont-Prince and a few others. Yours seem to be in good nick – bayonets can be brittle on this set for some reason. link |

All righty then. Dismounted Dragoons. Thanks all. |

Not really, they're light infantrymen – although they can stand in for dismounted dragoons at a pinch. Schomberg's had helmets with a horsehair mane and no visor though. |
