After a request on the Baccus forum, I have had a go at writing a detailed playthrough of a few turns of Polemos General de Division from a refight of the First Battle of Bassano on my blog here link in case anyone would find it a help.

Thank you very much for taking the time to get such a substantial post out for sharing. I enjoy your Polemos reports, but particularly enjoyed seeing the detail of systems in this one. |

I am really surprised that this topic has not received better support here. |

Hello John! I'm certainly glad that you took the time to post this gem. It will certainly take some of the mystery out of the rules for anyone puzzled by how they actually work. It also shows how your held in suspense until the final results are known. Everyone of our Polemos games are nail bitters and this clearly indicates that to me as well. Bravo, well done! Best regards, Glenn |

Thanks very much Glenn, I hope that any new players of Polemos Napoleonics may find it useful. When I get the chance I may write another one, hopefully with more cavalry vs cavalry action in. And as you say, it does provide nail-biting games. Thanks again |

That's an amazing AAR. As I've been reading it (not finished yet), I've wondered how similar those rules are to the GNW version. Those are the rules in the Polemos series I've read, and I must admit I was not able to really grasp them. Will understanding the Napoleonics version help me out, or are they too different? Thanks for any guidance. Chris Johnson |

@Chris, I'm afraid I haven't played Polemos GNW, so I am not sure how close it is to Polemos Napoleonic. I have played the Ancient, ECW and WSS versions and although the broad outline of the rules is the same, there are many differences in the details in all areas of the game. |
