Miniature companies don't always get around to making engineering equipment, probably because they are not big sellers. But there are times a dozer is needed on the battlefield!

So I was down at Dollar Tree and I picked up the Hot Wheels 'Speed Dozer'. The cab is about 6mm tall, but I could see it working for anything from 6mm to 25mm scale. Especially since there's no visible door! (ahem) The 'windows' are simply chrome stickers, which could just as easily be considered armor.

To militarize the vehicle, I think I would take it apart and remove the chrome parts – the 'hot rod' central engine and exhausts. Add some plates to cover the holes, carefully cut the spoiler off, add a weapon somewhere… and it's a military dozer!

Toys R Us, Walmart and the Dollar Tree are good sources of construction vehicles, fire/EMS vehicles, and vehicle multi-packs -- all in a somewhat nebulous scale.

Railroad hobby shops have bunches of that stuff in many scales. Some of the farm supply stores also sell items like this. I bought some construction vehicles in appropriate sizes for my 15mm games.
