So it has come to my attention that Legio Heroica has the exact kind of armours and units that I would like to have.

However, will I need to drill the holes in for weapons? How does it work? Because unfortunately I'm unable to do that.

No need to drill.

The hands are formed to take whichever weapon you use.
I use a two-compound epoxy glue with no problem.

However, the weapons are cast in soft metal, so I do replace the lances and pike with brass wire.

Cheers,
Robert

Here is an earlier post concerning Legio Heroica.

Thank you!
Also, I'm assuming that they're made of metal/resin?

They are metal. My wife and friend and I went together on a big order of crusaders and Saracens, and they are really nice figures. We also replaced the pewter spears with wire ones.

There are a lot of photos of all 3 armies here: link

Every figure you see is Legio Heroica.

Thanks for the info everyone.

@ snodipous,
Very nice paint jobs and the Saracens are especially colorful!

I had a recent Legio Heroica order and the figures came with wire spears rather than the old soft metal ones. I guess he's gone over to wire spears now, and these are included in the packs.

Legio Heroica are great figures and Giuseppe is really a great guy to work with…highly recommend them.

As Allen said. Giuseppe has great stuff and his service is first class.

I got wire spears – hands already open. I'm going to glue the spears in after basing so that they have a completely solid support

Being (well me …) I decided the wire spears were too thick, so making my own …..

The late Romans I got are exquisite models

One more question, what is the best kind of glue for these models? Just normal super glue, or is there a better kind?
