Who is your favorite member of the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast? |
Rich Bliss | 26 Aug 2016 1:21 p.m. PST |
Jean-Luc Picard. No other character strayed from stereotypes so much. Warf would be my second choice. |
Dynaman8789 | 26 Aug 2016 1:48 p.m. PST |
Cast or character? I don't know enough about most of the actors to say anything but Levar Burton has had an interesting career and Will Wheaton is a nerd like me so either of them. Character wise – Tasha Mark 2, seeing how much better that character was written after she died makes me wonder how much better the show could have been in the early years. |

Jean-Luc. When things go to hell, I'll take Jean-Luc over James T. every time. |

Spot!
Actually, I liked Picard, then Worf, then everyone else, then Wesley. |

Data, a well acted android mostly due to good writing. His struggle to understand humor was interesting. Too many other sci-fi shows really screw up the android character by making them act too human. |

Worf – followed by Jean Luc |

Worf gotta love the Klingons |

Tasha Yard was my first choice |
21eRegt | 26 Aug 2016 8:01 p.m. PST |
My first instinct was to say Worf but then I realized it was really that the Klingons were my favorite species (including humans). So yeah, Jean-Luc by a hair, if he had any. Now for least favorite…. |
Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut | 26 Aug 2016 8:06 p.m. PST |
Tasha Yar. She was a great character and well-acted by Denise Crosby. She suffered largely from being in the wrong ship department. She was hopeless as a security chief. She would have done much better in Engineering or Operations. |
Captain Gideon | 26 Aug 2016 8:06 p.m. PST |
Since I'm a Cat person and because I lost my Beloved Cat last June my vote is for Spot. Worf is my second favorite. |
Buck215 | 26 Aug 2016 8:18 p.m. PST |
The Enterprise "E" herself. The Enterprise "D" was nice, but the "E" looked like the ship meant business… |

The empathetic brunette. Very hot. |
Mako11 | 27 Aug 2016 8:55 a.m. PST |
Yea, Tasha. One of the few/only characters I could really stomach on that show. |
Doctor X | 27 Aug 2016 9:13 a.m. PST |
Q, followed by any Pakled character… |
Dynaman8789 | 27 Aug 2016 10:14 a.m. PST |
> followed by any Pakled character Ah the Packled's, TNG at it's hypocritical preachy worst. All cultures are acceptable – except the Klingons because they are a warrior race and the Pakleds because Fat aliens are stupid. |
Gunfreak | 27 Aug 2016 10:20 a.m. PST |
Since when isn't Klingon culture acceptable? Picard mediates in the klingon chansilor succession. Picard also only gives a slap on the wrist to worf after worf murders duras. |
Dynaman8789 | 27 Aug 2016 10:32 a.m. PST |
> Since when isn't Klingon culture acceptable? Deep Space 9, Klingon X (don't remember the name) gives Sisko a cup of blood wine to celebrate a victory and Sisko, with a look a vast disgust, pours it on the ground right in front of the Klingon's face. |
Gunfreak | 27 Aug 2016 10:45 a.m. PST |
Doesn't look at in disgust. Simply won't celebrate the the death of 800 million cardasians. Which as a human he can do. Doesn't yell at or lecture martok. Simply two different cultures. Martok took no offence simply quiping "humans" |
Dynaman8789 | 27 Aug 2016 11:10 a.m. PST |
I saw disgust. And typical ST preachiness. YMMV EDIT – Youtube clip, especially at the 47 second mark. YouTube link |

Picard over James T???? Gimme a break, Kirk finds a way to keep his ship intact and his crew alive, Picard holds a board meeting with everyone, decides that you broke the Prime Directive so "sorry to say but your sacrifice to Galaxy Peace will be noted" while the aliens quick fry you to a crackly crunch. If the question is who do I want to go to war with the answer would never be Picard, let him stay in the rear with the gear. |
Dynaman8789 | 27 Aug 2016 5:42 p.m. PST |
> and his crew alive Well, all but the redshirts in security. |
Gunfreak | 28 Aug 2016 1:51 a.m. PST |
Dynaman, I see no discusts there. Avery brooks is an extreme over actor, and if he tried to show discust he would throw up on Martok. He was stone faced. So no discusts. |
Chuckaroobob | 28 Aug 2016 5:17 a.m. PST |
Data. Avery Brooks is an actor? I thought he was a wooden mock up. Learn something new every day! |
