It is obviously done by a "modern" painter, but I do not collect nor study the AWI – though my family name came from a Hessian soldier captured at Trenton. Rather that stay in the Hessian barracks in Carlisle, PA, he joined the "Pennsylvania Line." Great painting! link GdeP |
