After being in a shoebox for years, I've finally painted my Foundry Nymphs. Because about half of them are naked, not Barbie doll naked, but naked naked, this post is NSFW. link Photo blocked by adult filter: "picture *adult*" |

I have a pile of these Elven nymphs kicking about too – some are quite nice figures! |

Your interesting painting choices make me think of some alternate history 17th century eastern Woodland scenarios,or 16th century Central or South American ones. Or Pacific Exploration scenarios. Of course, there would have to be some explanation for the ears. . . |

Nice paintjobs. It makes me think that wargaming Narnia could be an option. |

Nice on all counts. Good serviceable figures which for their size look extremely good |

I thought the center figure was from Reaper. I have her painted with blonde hair. |

Some of the facial expressions are striking. The work on the cloth/clothing is splendid. Good poses and action. I have a quibble about the skin tone on some, however--it looks like the paint was a little too glossy, unless that's the lighting. And some of the figures' pelvic and groin areas' anatomical structures are a little…off? Are these 28mm or the appropriately down-sized height for diminutive woodland creatures? And, from what Mrs. Carp has taught me, natural breasts do not look like perfect hemispheres. However, besides these quibbles, nice work! |

The center figure is Reaper. The figure used for Menalippe, the bugbear, the barbarian, the demoness, & the owlbear are all from Reaper. The bugbear is a plastic Bones figure. The nymphs are all from Foundry. The figures were sealed with a matte varnish. It is probably the lighting. I use desk lamps & an old Nikon Coolpix to photograph minis. They are 28mm sculpted by Kev Adams, I believe. As far as the pelvic & posture being off, I'm a bodyworker/massage therapist & I see it everyday. Everyone is off, no one is symmetrical. Everyone slouches in some manner. Most people have no idea how off they are, they only know they hurt. That being said, did the sculptor exagerate the "mommy hip" pose? Probably, but is it too much of an exageration? Well, not for my gaming table. |
