Can i use 80's russian infantry for yom kippur war?

it depends on scale but i would say so as a lot of the kit and weapons are the same according to the osprey book on the middle east wars
some units wore trainers though!

It'll be close enough I think, especially if its just a quick scenario rather than a long term project.

Just avoid PKM armed models, pretty sure Syria was using RPKs during Yom Kippur war.
