Winston Smith | 23 Aug 2016 5:21 p.m. PST |
My most successful character was a half elf. I believe that due to trademark regulations, D&D characters cannot be "Hobbits", but they can be halflings. |

I always enjoyed the development in stories and RPs of Dwarves. Something about those rock-eaters just appealed to me. But as "Winston" noted my most successful characters were different. My human characters always attained the highest levels. |

I usually always play humans, though I've played pretty much everything but a gnome at least once. |

My most successful character was a significantly overweight half-giantess. But if I were to be anything it would be a human/coyote hybrid, probably statted as an elf but looking like a short skinny werewolf. |

I am a card-carrying Dwarf. Sometimes something goes wrong and I have to play something else. |

Winston Smith, you are correct. It should be "halfling" in reference to D and D races. There were conflicts over trademarks. |

Elf magic-user. He was killed in the first room of the first dungeon I ever entered. I was in 5th grade at the time. My Dad soon after took the reins from my older brother and became our DM for the next four very enjoyable years. My character during those years was a human paladin by the name of Limthrow. |

I've alternated between my Dwarf Fighter and Human Paladin for 25+ years. |

I want to be the GM/DM so that I can whimsically control you all! Mwoo-ha-ha! Dance my little meat-puppets, dance! Enjoy the illusion of the dice, but know that I control the game! Now, Smithers, get me some kittens to juggle over this wood chipper. I'm feeling frisky! |

F: Gnomes FTW! I have had very good fun playing a Half-Orc, though. 2nd ed Renee (human River-gypsies) got a hat load of stat bonuses. And Suel…. I do look good in Scarlet. |

Half-halfling. Most-heard line in the game, as my character was famous: "I thought you'd be taller." |

A gnome illusionist, as my favorite character had a pet goat who he would cast a spell upon every morning to make it look like a huge, hulking companion who rarely ever said anything except," Baaa". In his adventures, no one in the party ever disbelieved and once everyone watched as "Bobo" destroyed a giant weasel on a narrow cliff side path. The DM was very sporting and went along with the ruse, just occasionally giving me a problem to deal with like waking up in an Inn and there are all these little round things on the floor. |

My most successful character was a human ranger, next to that was my High Elf fighter, magic user, thief. He was kind of a Swiss Army Knife. I always liked Human Paladins. What is not to like about being a warrior of your god and the ability to turn the undead while also being able to heal people and doing it all in plate armor with a big honking sword, and then there was the war horse. |
