…Any Other. "Fear the Walking Dead returned Sunday as what felt like a very different show. It felt more like an episode of Lost, really, focusing on one single character—in this case Nick—and flashing back to reveal a significant piece of his past. Nick's father, and likely Alicia's too, was emotionally absent in his later years and died in a car accident before Nick could reconcile with him, while Nick was in rehab. The pain of the loss is one of the main reasons he relapsed after leaving rehab and the flashback even made it to the first scene of the entire series, inside the church, linking everything together. In the present, we saw Nick trying to survive on his own, heading towards Tijuana, a place he hopes he'll find "dead that aren't monsters." I thought that maybe they were going to say it wasn't boring and has characters that someone could care about. Yeah I don't like it, if you can't tell. :) |

I root for the zombies, too. It would be a more entertaining and educational show if it showed people doing stupid stuff & then getting eaten… ;-) "Ha! I've outrun them! I'll take a shortcut through this alley." (moments later, discovers the alley is actually a dead end) (sounds of shuffling & moaning approaching from behind) "Uh-ooooh…" ;-) |

Looks like they're making an effort to turn FTWD into TWD. Maybe to appease unenthusiastic viewers. Groups splits up, people have individual adventures before meeting-up finally, repeat, repeat, repeat. |
