We played VWQ for first time in Waco, TX over the weekend. LOADS of fun. I posted the AAR on my blog: link if you want to peruse. YIS, Alan |

Alan, beautiful game and great AAR! I like Victory Without Quarter rules as well. |

FYI – we are playing again at the same venue Sept 10, for anyone in the Central Texas area! Bring what ya got, and we will make cards for it there. |

The very first ECW game I played was at Jeff of Saxe-Bearstein's place with VWQ. I found the system fun and frustrating. The only thing I found a little odd was how effective the artillery was with two cards in the deck they sure seemed to shoot often and did more damage than the musketeers. Perhaps it was just how the cards were drawn that day. |

We didn't find the arty all that bad, especially considering the firing arcs. Also, none caused any casualties, but did make one unit shake from being hit. the only other thing our art did was get run over! LOL |

That's funny. It sounds like we experienced the opposite ends of the Artillery spectrum in each of our games. |
