It looks like cross between a Tokarev and a Walther PPK. I love the goofy owl on the grip. |

Looks pretty small to hold 21 shots. |

9 x 21 is the size of the cartridge not the magazine capacity, which is not mentioned anywhere in the article. |

"Director General of the Central Research Institute of Precise Machine-building" Now THAT is a title worthy of old-school Soviet days! |

Interesting. The 9x21mm round is armor piercing. The bullet is a sleeve around a hard core that bursts out when it hits armor. Wikipedia 9x21mm Gyurza: link |

I agree with Glenn Goffin. One rather enjoys the kick-back of your own Argentinian Bersa 380. I'm sure you have one legally like my wifey to be does 😉 |

Kind of remind me of the CZ52 |

Looks pretty much like a Makarov (which does look like the secret love child of a CZ-52 and a PPK) to me. Doug |

I have it on good authority that Anna Chapman carries one in a garter holster. |

Interesting. The 9x21mm round is armor piercing. The bullet is a sleeve around a hard core that bursts out when it hits armor. Which is great if Russia can afford the new ammo. Since there are undoubtedly millions of standard rounds already in storage, I have a hunch only Spetnaz units will see the new ammo, and maybe certain forward-deployed A formations. B and C formations will probably never see the new rounds. |
