The latest post on my blog details how rubber tap washers can be used for basing specific types of figures and my first toe-dipping into the world of tabletop starship combat. All can be found here; link |

Very imaginative conversion of items into a starship. |

I'm definitely coming to the conclusion all 40K weaponry should be converted for battles in space. Small bolt guns, with the grip removed, I really like as small merchant ships. As a person that likes the 'brick' school of ship design, I've been picking up some Tau weapons for some time. Even have some flamer tips that will be exhaust ports for some other ships. Have to cogitate on the washers, a bit, though. Doug |

Good use of scratch building on the starships. Yes it's remarkable how many modern ships in video games and films look like guns.Think HALO and the Sulaco. |

Great idea! And the rubber can add traction for when figures are in precarious spots, besides cushioning whichever painted surfaces the figures may be standing upon. |

You sure can learn a lot reading interesting posts like that on TMP! Technically, you read an interesting post on a blog linked to from TMP. The actual TMP post doesn't tell you much. |

Does the paint have trouble sticking to the rubber, though? That would be my fear. |
