After years of running a historical plog on Warseer it looks like I will have to do what "normal" people do and start my own blog. The question is: where to do it? Which free blogging site is best suited to wargaming?

Stupid bug……

I use Blogger and Open Live Writer.

I use Wordpress, it's simple, free and I've not had any issues.

Cheers Roger.

I use Wordpress both for my own blog and for professional websites.

A wordpress site is free and very easy to use.

I use Wordpress also. I can't remember why I chose it over blogger though :)

Rabbit with Wordpress. Seems to handle larger pictures too when you click on the image and then choose the picture file size. My 2MB shots can be seen full computer screen.

Thanks for the input. Do you upload pictures to Blogger and WordPress or link to a photo hosting site like photobucket?

Giles the Zog19 Aug 2016 12:41 p.m. PST

You can upload photos to wordpress, but I use photo bucket and link to them there.

Gonsalvo19 Aug 2016 1:58 p.m. PST

Blogger for me.

I upload the pictures to Blogger. Don't make them bigger (in memory size) than you need to – the free account comes with a lot of photo storage – I haven't exceeded mine yet in 5 years and almost 500 posts, but there is a limit

Oh Bugger20 Aug 2016 3:48 p.m. PST

Yeah Blogger for me too, easy to use.

Codsticker21 Aug 2016 9:56 a.m. PST

Thank you guys. I went with Blogger as it seems connected to Google and I have gmail account already..

Anyway, first post is up:
