Sarah Kerrigan has about ten million blades at her disposal… or rather mandibles…

Too bad about her losing all her feathers (just look at those wings). Could be stress or maybe a virus.

I'm trying to imagine what hair care products she uses.

THIS is what is objectionable, not the girl in the stripper pose.

What is objectionable about a (rather good) miniature of Sarah Kerrigan, Queen of Blades? For those who don't know, she's one of the most iconic characters in the history of video gaming. She looks the way she does because she was genetically fused with Zerg DNA (the Zerg are insectoid bio-warriors); she rose to become the ruler of the Zerg Horde.

I don't know what any of these display figures that Tango01 displays have to do with wargaming – as far as I know, miniature wargaming is a distinct hobby from display miniatures. But a figure of a warrior from one of the most successful video game franchises ever (Starcraft) at least has connection to gaming and science-fiction war.

Dear Eumelus

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What we consider beautiful is the mirror of our souls.

Genetically fusing humans with insectoid bio warriors is something that Dr. Mengle's evil twin brother would do.

She is therefore a depictation of an atrocity.

Atrocity is by definition "atrocious" and an offense to the natural.

As Hafen asked in another post. "Why do these artists hate women so much." But if it's from a vido game then the question is "Why do vido-gamers hate women so much."

Objectionable.

Ottoathome:
Thank you for the well-written and reasoned response. My counter-query: would you similarly find objectionable a miniature of Jeff Goldblum's ill-fated character in "The Fly", or of Marvel Comics' "The Thing", or of Mary Wollenscraft's "Frankenstein's Creation"? Surely a model of a monster is supposed to be monstrous?

That some monsters are female I don't find objectionable. That a courtesan is depicted as a tarted-up trollop I don't find objectionable. That supposedly brave and accomplished female warriors are routinely depicted as a tarted-up trollops I do find objectionable.

Great detail on the sculpt. What does it look like without the up lighting and a white background?
