So I find myself loathe to build several sprues of Warlord's French Late Infantry in greatcoats as more, well, French. Would the bodies be close enough to make Prussian Musketeers if I used spare heads and packs from a Perry kit? Russians in greatcoats? Again, using spare Perry plastic bits, or Warlord 1812 Russian infantry pieces. I realize I would have to carve off the epaulettes for just about any conversion, and I'm not looking for exact matches. These are more for amusement and to let my boys help paint.

Thing is though, you can't have too many French infantry….

Well, any one of a number of minor German states, of course. I think your idea of Prussian conversions (the ex-Berg troops) is an excellent one.

I'd even wonder about some Carlist variants, if that's your poison.

1812 Russian infantry! Smart choice! I'm inspired.
