Bonjour Chaps,

I finally realised that I needed some of these.

OK Perrys do some but I don't do plastic!

Elite do some but there's no piccies.

So, if anybody has an image of the Austrian Landwehr made by Elite, or can point me in the direction of where I can find some that would be great.

Whilst on this topic, I also wanted some of the excellent Perrys Jagers but in addition to the skirmish poses also want them in march attack or similar to allow me to have a close-order battalion or three. Does anybody have any suggestion for this too please?

Hope so.

Cheers,

Paul

For the marching in close order you could start with the Perrys' marching Bavarian schutzen and do some converting. Swop heads then carve the front of the jacket to single breasted. The personal equipment is not too far off.

I painted up a lot of the Old Glory Landwehr, decent figs, good variety.

My friend Carlo has a lot of Elite figures, but a search of his blog didn't turn up any Landwehr.

As others have mentioned, Old Glory really does a huge number of 30 figure Landwehr bags. In the US they are an incredible value; overseas (I see you are in France) the shipping costs eats much of that away. Still, if you like the animated style of the Elite figures, the Old Glory are perhaps even more so. Here are a slew of pictures of them from my blog (with a lot of detailed uniform and flag information as well.

Front Rank makes very nice Austrian landwehr. We worth looking at.

Bonjour Chaps,

Thanks for the helpful guidance.

Currently leaning towards the nice, if chubby, Front Rank ones.
