S-Model, after being quiet for the last a couple of months, released a very interesting small tank – Russian T-40S light tank this month. Here are some pictures of whats inside the box and the instruction sheet. Details are clean and crisp as usual. The cut parts from the tree indicate that the T-40 amphibian tank will be released in the future.

S-Model also released some painted models using its plastic kits. Here are examples of the T-40S built and painted.

The T-40S kit (1/72 #PS720199) as well as the built versions are available in our eBay store – stores.ebay.com/miniworldshop.

Great news.
These and other light tanks formed a sizable chunk of the Russian tank force throughout the war. It's nice to field options to the KVs and T-34s.

Those are some great looking light tanks! I like them.

These S-Model offerings are really nice kits. Their early Soviet T26s are fantastic. Wish they'd consider doing a T28 too.

The great strength of the T-40 was that is was neither the T-37 nor the T-38. I suspect that the crew of a T-40 had some slight chance of surviving a river crossing.

What were the years of service?
HMG, 20mm or 45mm?

Wikipedia has good info.
