Hi, looking at these rather nice figures I have a question or two that hopefully someone can help me with.
1, I see the light blue is given as the main uniform for all arms but there is mention of a white summer uniform, could I do the dragoons in this colour just for a bit of variation ?
2, red stripe on the artillery trousers?

Finally the militia wore civilian gear, what would be the best match figure wise for these, unfortunately Chris didn't do a pack for the range.

Many thanks,

Dave.

I'd say yes.

I believe there's an Osprey for this.

Probably Alamo defenders for the militia.

Texian figures would work for the Militia.

Also, some of the figures from the 1812 range that are militia would be just fine.

I do not know about red stripes on the trousers of Artillery for the white uniform, but I do think this was the case for the blue trousers.

Urwin, in his volume on US Cavalry, I believe shows Dragoons in "summer whites".

Either way, it's a fun period for modelling terrain.

The Dragoons wore a dark blue jacket trimmed yellow. Though the white summer uniform was available it didn't hold up well in the swamp grass so a goodly number of the troops continued to wear the blue uniforms. You check on the uniforms here: PDF link
