Tod Kershner and Dale Wood are pleased to announce that onmilitarymatters.com is now taking orders for AOR, 3rd Edition. They expect to begin shipping next week. 150 pages, spiral bound and retails for $49.00 USD. For more info see our Facebook page: warfare in the age of reason by Tod Kershner and Dale Wood

So what is new and different? Is there any reason owners of the second edition should pony up for the third edition?

OK I saw your Facebook page and see that there are lots of pretty colour pictures It also says that it's the same basing as 2nd with " some streamlined mechanics", (?) expanded army lists ( historical notes) and changes to campaign systems It also looks like buyers will have to buy additional campaign modules as you only provide one in the book

In my opinion AOR was a good Seven Years War set but did not accurately portray Marlburian warfare with its different modes of firing in multiple ranks and different cavalry tactics ( shock vs fire) Using the same basing for both 1705 and 1754 does not seem an effective way to differentiate the two periods What have you done to improve this?

If you area asking me to spend close to eighty dollars Canadian you have to show me what do I get other than a lot of pretty pictures.

Looking forward to this. It is always painful to view and navigate the OMM website though.
