Look what I found: link Click on the link, to the map, for a large-scale image of a 1/50,000 map of the region. Enjoy! Anyone else know of similar, 1/50,000 or 1/100,000 maps of other areas in Germany that would be interesting for Cold War wargaming? Any good sources, preferably in the USA, but internationally is okay too, for German topo maps at a reasonable price? |

The terrain board at the Infantry School was based on the upper right are of that Map sheet (North and East of Hunfeld). Many games on that in '81 and '82 (one of the guys ran the sim center) |

Mako11: Send me a note at mckrok2000@yahoo.com if you are interested in maps of the Fulda area. I have most of the 1:50,000 and 1:250,000 sheets of the Fulda area in a tube in my basement. pjm |

Mako11: I'm taking one of my kids to college (1200 miles one way) early tomorrow morning, so I'll be out of town for a week and in intermittent comms. Please, be patient. pjm |

Hi PJM, I hope you have a great time! Congratulations on getting one off to college. Mine just graduated not too long ago, and has recently secured work as well, so I'm just thrilled about that. E-mail finally sent tonight. My apologies for the delay, but there were a lot of chores to do today. No hurry on my end, but I do look forward to your reply. Sincerely,
Rob |
