Hmm I would have thought that any ammo loading should be done BEHIND the big thick shield from incoming fire and not in front of it lol

The mortar is no less stupid than the many other foolish designs we see in scifi gaming.

Classic example: countless mecha with weapons that are mounted so low that when behind low terrain the vehicle can be shot but the weapons can't fire. The worst offender was AT-43's Firetoad.

Unfortunately, Anvil's heavy weapons suffer from the same problem. These guys will have to fully expose their upper torsos to fire these weapons because…the triggers are on top of the weapon…doh!!!!

Anvils stuff are usually ace but how the **** are those power armor troopers supposed to handle and aim those support weapons with a retarded grip like that?

Even if it is the suit holding the weight of the gun it is fiddly to say the least when it is time to get the bolts, bullets or beams on target.
