Does anyone have recommendation on what type of glue I should be using for Zvezda models? I am currently using Army Painter Plastic Glue and it seems that it doesn't "melt"/"meld" the plastics together. I can always just go back and with my fingers pop out the "glued" pieces.

Any suggestions?

Testors liquid cement in the black sort of triangle bottle. Works for me.

Yep, Testors glue

Thanks for the quick responses. One last question. I used Gorilla Wood Glue to mount my figure to a metal fender washer. It seems to have glued quite well. Would you Gorilla Wood Glue work on plastic to plastic or should is testor glue the only way to go?

MEK!

The figures are a little different. I use super glue with an accelerant

Gorilla Wiid Glue would NOT work on a plastic yo plastic bond. Follow above suggestions.

Any decent poly cement will glue the models together. Anything with Professional, in the title.

Wood glue has many fine uses. Gluing styrene together is not one of them. Contacta (blue bottle with the thin metal tube) is what I currently use.

I don't use any – they just clip together and I've found the glue interferes with the fit…

I also use Revell Contacta.

While they do clip together, there are often unsightly lines, and as the polystyrene cement melts the plastic, it helps hide them.

I use Testor's model cement. The kind as comes in a red and white tube. Been using such for 40+ years. Never had a problem. Stuff's available over to Hobby Lobby.

Another vote for MEK

I use Testors liquid. No problems, although if it's a large flat bond, I will sometimes roughen the surfaces with a file before applying the adhesive.

US members refer to Testors, wich I have never encountered in Europe, therefore Europeans will go for Revell. For those in Europe I can also refer you to UHU, wich does the same job.

I went to a local store that has (or had) Testors in stock. Because they were out they suggested that I purchase Humbrol Poly Cement. I gave it a shot and it seems like my Zvezdas are still not gluing together.

I'm about *this* close to switch to Caesar

If they are the figures it won't work. Use superglue but with the brush on accelerant. Makes it harden in seconds. Used it on my Naps to attach backpacks . Also, rough up the surface a bit for the glue the have something to 'grab'.

I use Tester plastic glue in the triangular bottle. For everything plastic

What figures? The small sets of 4 in hard plastic or the traditional large sets of 40 plus. Different glues needed
