What is the status of HPC in the wake of Pat's tragic demise last year? The website is running but the public status indicates the company's fate hasn't been decided. Are there other options besides Menairons? Are there US distributors for Menairons? Thanks for the assist, Walt |

Hey Walt, Scale Creep is caring Menairons. |

Hi Walt: HPC was picked up but the new owner just doesn't have time as far as I can tell. Plus there was no organization to the business – that all passed with the owner. So molds have to be identified, and loose figures (literally buckets full) sorted, bagged and tagged. Not sure of his plans but it wouldn't surprise me if he just sold it on. I do indeed carry the Minairons range of 20mm. In fact I need to place an order this week to get the new codes in. Mark "Extra Crispy" Severin Scale Creep Minaitures (ScaleCreep.com) |

Large ranges available from Irregular, Warrior and Rolf Hedges and no doubt others I've missed. |

Rolfe's line is the same as Pat's HPC. |

Last post from the guy that has HPC was that it is going to be a retirement business. So there is no telling when that will be online. Sad. Minairons has beautiful figures but does not have a complete range as yet. Many factions are not available. They are worth looking at though. I have a pile of them. |

Thanks Mark, Bruntonboy and Stosstruppen. That pretty much confirms what I suspected. I do hope Bandera/HPC bounces back to a steady state but I won't rely on them being there. Menairons is a lovely starter for the period and I can supplement with Warrior from the looks of things.

I'm not sure of its current status, but the Bandera range once included everything HPC made, much better cast, and with a vast array of additional sculpts and conversions. Those Warrior grotesques painted with green skin would be ideal for a SCW variant of Panzerfauste. |

The Warrior figures pictured are some of the best of the range in my opinion, the rest are done by more than one sculptor and vary a lot in quality, in my opinion. However, I absolutely love the one piece castings of the cavalry. I'd heartily recommend them. Bandera (as sold by Rolf) doesn't have everything of HPCs, no cavalry or women militia (there are an odd one or two in various packs but that's it. HPC expanded on these couple of figures). |

If they're the best… I have Rolfe's first attempts at female militia: several minimalist conversions of male figures, and therefore quite 'butch'. I did intend to replace them when he later remade those particular figures, but never got around to it. The current Bandera range is much-reduced from the time when it was at its most diverse extent. |

What Mark said. I have no life right now with my regular job. Everything else is on hold except for whatever my daughter needs. I do have plans, but they are on hold for the next few months while work has a hold on me. Mark has Minarons (I do have stock, but go to Mark. If he doesn't have it, I will get it to him as necessary). Rolf has the rights to cast figs at this time. That's another grey area with Pat's passing. I'm sure we will work it out just as smoothly as he and Pat did. Pat's stock was one giant pile of figures on a work table. Bagged and sorted? No. But it's not like he planned to leave things that way… Heck, I'm only making it to TMP every few days now. |
