I have a good couple hundred paints from different manufacturers, but I find I end up with a handful that always seem to make their way on to the table. Here are some of them: VMC 822 German Cammo Black Brown: Almost universal brown undercoat for leather, wood, whatever. VMC 819 Iraqi Sand: A great mid-tone and mix for so many lighter brown shades. VMC 995 German Grey: Great dark blue-gray that makes its way to nearly all my black leather. Citadel Nuln Oil Wash: Use it all the time on any kind of steel. VMC 863 Gunmetal Grey: Basecoat for all steel. |

I use german camo beige and deck tan quite often (both by Vallejo). From Army Painter Warpaints, Monster Brown is very useful. |

Black White Nutmeg – Dark brown. Earth color and 2nd most common wash color. Canela (Cinnamon) – It's a great flesh tone on its own and a great mixer with other skin tones. Metallic Red – Female lips. |

Americana Fawn. I use it for my basic ground color, so need far more than any other paint. Rick |

Tans and middle greens for bases, also. |

I just started using Deck Tan a couple months ago, and I've found it to be a very useful grey/white. I have an ancient bottle of Ceramcoat Dark Burnt that I use for base edges…nice and dark muddy. |
