first of all my english isnt that good so excuse me for that, im a dungeon master since 2002 with dnd 3.5 all over those years i been playing for seasons and those i can say are the best days ever with the friends, the girl, etc until last year i ran a stable campaign with some dudes and a friend of mine it was a stable group untile one left ruining the fun and the campaign, so since last year i dont play.

i have heroquest but its not the same i have done many many quest for the game also it is a masterpiece of gaming, so i decided to look for some rules that allow to play some dungeon crawl game solo and didnt find any until the other day i see some post that lead me here and some dude suggested the dark city games so i checked what i found was the best system ever to play and they had an example adventure on their site so i downloaded and from there i can make my own modules now to play solo or with a friend on an scripted adventure.

when you are a dungeon master it is easy to set up the adventure and setting and since im a freestyle dm thats not a problem i did my adventure that is called return to kaz morian an ancient dwarven fortress for 3 characters 2 dwars a warrior a cleric and a human wizard and we played it with my friend he was taking the decisions of the adventure so he generated all the content of the adventure with his decisions and some failed rolls it was awesome maybe dont the same thing as dnd but pretty close.

im leaving with some pics of the gameplay on my wargaming blog and with the invitation to any dm or solo player to write stuff for this system check it you will not be dissapointed by it.

last words as dm that you are i know that feel when you wanna play and there is no one to play with so i invite you to check the system and lets make some content for it as a dm you are thats pretty easy and lets bring some joy and fantasy to other players out there i will be releasing the content that i make and making some campaigning for this system also cause this is the only answer to solo rpg playing my blog is link

Thanks for posting the link. I will give it a try. Have you seen Four Against Darkness by Ganesha Games? Its another solo rpg and is becoming quite popular.

Checking out your link. I have done a bit of solo role-playing over the last few years, as seen on my blog talesoftemplars.blogspot.com

I love Four Against Darkness link The price is low so it's worth checking out

Another useful option for solo gamers is Mythic, especially the Game Master Emulator link

Check out Warrior Heroes Legends by Two Hour Wargames. It's miniatures fantasy rules designed for solo play with a campaign system. Also included is a dungeon crawl. Encounters are unpredictable and creates a pretty good narrative.

The Dark City Games system was inspired by The Fantasy Trip and is about as compatible as it can be without violating copyrights. The system is intended to be rules lite and easy to play.

If you want a more robust system, try Heroes and Otherworlds heroworlds.blogspot.com . It's just about 100% compatible with the DCG modules and feels very much like The Fantasy Trip. The supplements have a lot of really good material.
