link Just received my copies of the subject mounted officers: Frederick the Great, an attending Staff Officer and a Brigade Commander, all mounted on the best examples of metal horseflesh "I" have ever seen! The castings are so clean, I can prime them right away. A word on how well the riders fit the horses: In a word "Perfect". They sit with ease and look wonderful. The horse furniture is molded to the horse. You know how sometimes metal horses will come with flash between their legs? (Especially between their hind quarters- like having to carve it out?)….Not with these horses! Now after about 500 castings that might change, but the mold makers for Black Hussar is to be commended! If these are indications of how well their upcomming cavalry will be like, we are in for a real treat! Let's hope that Sascha will be able to make the new cavalry available at the same (or lower) price as these mounted leaders are. They are a great value for the money when compared to other brands. Yes, I well know that horse castings eat up the metal in the pot quickly, so let's hope that Black Hussar will be able to hold the line on the prices. Well Done, Sascha and Black Hussar Miniatures. |
