Hi I've spent some time trying to develop a card game that allows the players to fight the North African campaign at theatre level – heres my development blogposts link Is there any interest in this? Do people think this could work and would people be interested in playing it? |

Sounds interesting. I'd definitely be interested to see how it develops. |

Have you ever played Shifting Sands? It has strategic events, armor upgrades, possible options to invade Malta, etc. It's one of the best card driven war-games out there and very popular. |

No miniatures? If not, why is this post on the Miniature Boardgames board? |

I would at least be interested in seeing how this develops over time, after that, I may be able to assist…may, being the operative word. |

It was done ten years ago with LIGHTNING: NORTH AFRICA. link |

I've also played a couple of card games already covering North Africa. No idea what the titles were, but they were certainly very interesting. The card approach seems to work very well for specific battles and campaigns, although I'd like to see mechanisms which are more generic so you can use them for multiple operations. And of course you can use toys with them to keep track of things, just as I did in our recent playing of VII Corps on the Somme. |

Game design work proceeding nicely. Once things are a little further on I will set up a temporary mailing list that people can sign up for. All Neal's games are published by us – in case you were wondering. ;-) -- Martin Stephenson Vexillia: Wargames Miniatures & Accessories Shop | Rules | eBay | Twitter |

We are at the stage where setting up the temporary mailing list makes sense. If you'd like to receive updates and announcements by email please sign up here. -- Martin Stephenson Vexillia: Wargames Miniatures & Accessories Shop | Rules | eBay | Twitter |
