Argh. The thing with towers, besides the lookout idea is flanking. So they NEEd to jut out from the walls so some slits and from the top one can , from cover, make life difficult for chaps getting at the bottom of the walls.

So…

Now that's a very clever idea.

Jim,
what are those figures you have used for scale? They look rather interesting.
Great idea by the way…

@Jcfrog

You're not wrong.

I am working with whatever bits are already available but I wouldn't be surprised if I suggest some additional pieces.

@HvS

No, no, no, don't file it, do it straight away. Strike while the iron is hot. Then file it.

@Chokidar

The figures are AWI Continental Infantry by Perry Miniatures.

I'll be blogging them soon when their sabots are ready.

D'oh. I've got the exact same pieces. Why didn't I think of this? Top late now. 😟

@Rich

You can always move it on at a Flea Market or a Community Sale and then order it all over again.

I would wait until you see my finished product as I'm in full MDF Tarting mode as I type.

Rich Bliss08 Aug 2016 2:38 p.m. PST

I'm working on mine now, as well. We can compare notes when we're done.

JimDuncanUK09 Aug 2016 2:56 p.m. PST

Have finished the MDF 'tarting' mode and am now starting the plaster wash and paint level.
