Aside from Hobby Boss, does anyone else do full hull models of modern subs, even in scales smaller than 1:700? |

There's a couple of makers on Shapeways who do full-hull models in 1/1800 and / or 1/600. What rules are you planning to use, Alan? |

Hi Alan, I'm getting ready to sell off my subs and ships that I used with Snap Shot rules. Let me know if you may be interested. I'm not looking for much. |

Thanks for the replies. I will have a look on Shapeways. I am thinking of SnapShot rules as they seem quite playable. Alan |

Those Snap Shot rules look pretty good, might have a go myself. |

For 1/700 scale there is a company out of Bulgaria called OKB Grigorov that does some really nice resin kits. They can be a little pricey, but they have a lot of unusual Cold War boats. link In the US, their models are (sometimes) available from Free Time Hobbies (http://freetimehobbies.com/) The Shapeways store I look at for 1/700 subs is Kokoda Trail Models (https://www.shapeways.com/shops/frenobulax). I purchased a Chinese Type 092 sub and put up a photo of the painted version on the page. |
