Looks like a few good things happening as garden season (in Scotland) is coming close to end. Eureka doing Dark Age Greeks (Trojan wars). Not a lot of details but in development and should include chariots and some Sea People types. Cutting Edge are putting last packs of early and late Bronze Age out before going into Iron Age next year (Assyrians etc..lovely) Scarab Miniatures are expanding those lonely Egyptian bowmen with some enemies (? Hittites). North Star have some additions to the Kadesh range. Dark Fable have some Nubians that I am sure can be used historically in progress. So looks time to dust down that chariot and let battle commence :) |

I too am waiting for the Eureka Greeks. I use the Tribal rules with some modifications of my own for heroic combat/warfare. My review of the rules: link Rule modifications for chariots and other stuff: link Rules for using tarot cards to represent divine intervention: link The rules are available on Wargames Vault: link |

Hopefully the Cutting Edge Assyrians will not be yet another range of late assyrians but earlier period ones…. |

Pedrobear, this was really interesting, also the Greek Gods card set you found. As for other interesting rules for Troy I would suggest those of Redoubt. They have everything you need, including divine intervention and chariot to chariot fights. |

Colin, et al: Your post is most invigorating on a hot August day, many thanks. I have several 100s of Foundry Egyptians & Hittites from the early 2000s, few 100 painted. Have been watching your discussions with great interest in recent years. @idontbelieveit ~ I echo your hopes re the Assyrians becoming reality. @Pedrobear ~ Ditto on the Greeks, I also have a number of Perrys' figures from that line. Any indications the new ones will be reasonably compatible with the Perrys' Trojan Wars work? Thanks again for this conversation, I shall have to delve back into the TMP message boards to catch bits I may have missed. Cheriton |

Thanks for the tip, RelgianRay. Cheriton – not sure about the Eureka figures, but I am keen to get a pack or two when they are released! |
